Request for Applications (NC BCCCP RFA #415)
Who can apply: Public and private non-profit agencies may apply and must provide medical services in a facility capable of performing physical examinations, clinical breast examinations (CBEs) and cervical cancer screenings. Refer to RFA for more requirements.
Goals: Reduce the number of NC women who are diagnosed and/or die from breast and cervical cancers. Increase breast and cervical cancer screenings and expand diagnostic services to eligibility women. Ensure access to medically appropriate services for women diagnosed with cancer or precancer.

About the Branch
The purpose of the Cancer Prevention and Control Branch is to reduce the overall cancer burden in North Carolina.
This is accomplished by:
- Planning, directing, and supporting cancer prevention and control efforts through collaborative work with partners in local, state, and national organizations, and universities.
- Reducing the number of people who get and die from breast and cervical cancers and cardiovascular disease by providing testing and follow‐up services for uninsured and underinsured women in North Carolina.
- Identifying opportunities to promote healthy behaviors related to eating, exercising, not using tobacco products, and safe environments.
- Recommending health education activities for everyone.
