The Sequencing and Bioinformatics Response (SaBR) Unit is where science and technology come together. This team:

• Develops and tests new ways to detect germs and viruses
• Sequences DNA to track how diseases spread
• Works with other public health teams to fight outbreaks

The SaBR Unit includes:

• Lab technologists who work hands-on with samples
• Bioinformaticians who study data from sequencing
