Quick Steps for Using the Private Well Water Interpretation Tool 

1. On the Be Well Informed website, select North Carolina from the drop-down menu.
2. Input your well water results from your recent well water lab test. Be sure that the units from your lab result match the Entry page. If not, use the drop down menu to find the correct unit.
3. Leave blank any chemicals that did not show up on your well water results.
4. If your results show a less-than symbol followed by a number (example: <0.005), please enter 0 into the Entry form. If you see “No Detection”, or something similar, please also enter 0. These results indicate the chemical is below the testing limits of the lab and should be considered not present.
5. When ready, press Submit at the bottom of the screen
6. Review results in your web browser or you may also save your results as a PDF. In the top left there is a red Adobe PDF logo which, when selected, will enable you to save and print your results and recommendations.
