Survey: Availability of Short-Dated MMR Vaccine (Response Requested COB Thursday)

The North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP) is exploring a one-time opportunity to share a limited quantity of MMR vaccines that expire June 5, 2026. These doses may be administered to any patient regardless of insurance status at no cost.

Dear Valued Partners,

The North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP) is exploring a one-time opportunity to share a limited quantity of MMR vaccines that expire June 5, 2026. These doses may be administered to any patient regardless of insurance status at no cost.

We are asking counties/jurisdictions to complete a brief survey to indicate interest, requested quantity, and to describe any utilization plans. Please submit your response by Thursday, March 12, 2026 EOD.

Note: 

  • The vaccine will be provided at no cost to your county/jurisdiction.
  • Providers may not bill clients or other third-party payers (insurance/Medicaid) for the vaccine cost.
  • Providers may bill a client’s insurance/Medicaid for the vaccine administration fee, if applicable.
