Question/Issue: Outdated Food Protection and Facilities Branch Correspondence

Discussion and Rationale:

Upon the adoption of the 2009 FDA Food Code, the Food Protection Program was charged with reviewing all correspondence sent from the Branch. The correspondence reviewed included memorandums dating as far back as 1958. Related correspondence was collected from local and state sources as well as all the memos and documents posted on the Environmental Health Section website.

Response:

If a memorandum or correspondence is not posted on the Environmental Health Section website, it should be considered rescinded.

If you have memorandums or correspondence related to the Food Protection and Facilities Branch and have questions whether the correspondence is current or valid please contact your Environmental Health Regional Specialist. Please check the website frequently for updated information.
