The purpose of this memorandum is to announce new regional consultant staff and share updated regional coverage maps. We are pleased to introduce the following new staff:

  • Pang Pile, RN - Regional Immunization Nurse (RIN)
  • Eleanor Wade - Regional Immunization Consultant (RIC)
  • Emily Vick, RN - Regional Immunization Nurse (RIN)

Refer to the attached regional coverage maps for detailed information regarding county assignments. Please ensure the maps are displayed in an area where staff may easily access them as needed. Coverage maps may also be found by visiting our website: Immunization Branch Contacts | Division of Public Health. These changes are effective immediately.

The RIN assigned to your county is your first point of contact for clinical immunization-related questions. They provide extensive clinical information on the immunization program, vaccine administration recommendations, vaccine ordering, storage, and handling, immunization schedules, and state and federal rules and laws. They also provide education and assess compliance with North Carolina Immunization Program requirements through compliance site visits. Gail Baker, RN, CPHN serves as Supervisor for the RINs.

The RIC assigned to your county provides extensive consultation and information on the immunization program, the North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR), and immunization rules, laws, and recommendations. They also provide education and assess immunization coverage levels through Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers (IQIP) visits. Isabel Reynolds serves as the Supervisor for the RICs.

Please direct any questions related to these changes to Gail Baker, RN, CPHN, Regional Immunization Nurse Consultant Supervisor at gail.baker@dhhs.nc.gov, or to Isabel Reynolds, Regional Immunization Consultant Supervisor at isabel.reynolds@dhhs.nc.gov.
