Lead-based paint abatement and/or renovator certification in North Carolina requires discipline-specific training through an accredited training provider.

Requirements for Training Providers
Since July 31, 2010, all training providers and their renovator or dust sampling technician courses taught in North Carolina for certification purposes must be accredited. Accreditation is obtained through the Health Hazards Control Unit.
Training providers must comply with:
