People Who Use Smokeless Tobacco

Smokeless or spit tobacco increases your risk of heart disease and stroke, as well as head and neck cancers. These types of cancers often require disfiguring surgery to treat and are more common in those who use oral or "spit" tobacco.

Nicotine pouches are a newer type of smokeless tobacco product. They contain nicotine, but not tobacco.

Learn more about the harms of nicotine pouches from the CDC.

Oral nicotine pouches are not an approved method for quitting smoking or vaping nicotine.
