QuitlineNC offers free:
- Empowering, confidential, and non-judgmental support from a highly trained Quit Coach to support you through your quit.
- You will have up to five sessions working with your Quit Coach through calls, text or chat and group videos.
All services are provided by the State of North Carolina and are free to the public.

Active-Duty Military
If you are an active member of the U.S. Military, there are other tobacco cessation services and resources available.
TRICARE covers prescription and over-the-counter tobacco cessation products at no cost for TRICARE beneficiaries age 18 or older who not eligible for Medicare.

YouCanQuit2 is a Defense Department (DOD) education campaign, aligned to the Defense Health Agency, for the U.S. military. Its mission is to help Service members quit tobacco—for themselves and their loved ones.
Veterans
If you are a U.S. Military Veteran, the U.S. Veteran's Health Administration has many resources and tools to help you quit tobacco.
Veteran's Administration Telephone Quitline
Call 1-855-QUIT-VET (1-855-784-8838) for tobacco cessation counseling for any Veteran who receives health care through VA.
Includes information about quitting cigarettes and smokeless tobacco, along with interactive tools.
A six to eight-week program that sends two-five texts per day, timed to a Veteran’s quit date, available for cigarette smokers and smokeless tobacco users. Text VET to 47848
