Flooding is a growing problem in NC
Rising sea levels, heavier rains and stronger hurricanes are causing more flooding, especially in coastal, low-lying areas. Cities are also at higher risk as rainfall increases each year.
Floods can lead to injuries, drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning, illnesses, trouble getting medicine and lasting impacts on mental health.
