As we prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 COVID-19 ordering season, we’d like to share an important update regarding the availability of the 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine formulation through the remainder of the 2025-2026 season.
North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP) has resumed data exchange onboarding activities, effective immediately.
The purpose of this memo is to inform NCIP-enrolled providers about ordering timelines and administration start dates for the maternal RSV vaccine ABRYSVO® and the monoclonal antibody (mAb) products Beyfortus® (nirsevimab) and ENFLONSIA™ (clesrovimab) for the upcoming RSV season.
Please be advised that an update to the NCIP ServiceNow Portal is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 between 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Changes will appear in the portal starting Thursday, July 23.
The North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP) is committed to ensuring a successful transition to the new North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR) for providers, staff, and the patients you serve.
After careful consideration, the launch of the new NCIR system planned for late July has been postponed.
Please be advised that North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP) Help Desk support and the On-Call Nurse line will be closed all day Tuesday, June 30 and from 8:00am to 1:00pm Wednesday, July 1 due to scheduled internal training.
Please be advised that North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP)-supplied flu vaccine doses will expire on 6/30/2026. Vaccine ordering will end on 6/12/2026; however, vaccine doses may continue to be administered through the expiration date.
Any flu vaccine doses remaining on 7/1/2026 must be removed from the vaccine storage unit and NCIR inventory, appropriately wasted, and returned in accordance with program guidelines.
The 2026 hurricane season begins June 1, 2026, and continues through November 30, 2026, however, inclement weather can occur throughout the year. Now is the time to prepare for events that could impact vaccine storage, such as storms, flooding, power outages, and equipment failures.
The North Carolina Immunization Program (NCIP) is currently in the process of transitioning to a new North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR) product and has paused all data exchange onboarding activities effective immediately.
